Pirelli announces its tire selection for the United States, Mexico, and Brazil
The paddock will head to America after the Singapore Grand Prix this weekend. Pirelli has unveiled the tire ranges chosen for Austin, Mexico, and Sao Paulo. A slight modification is being made to the Interlagos circuit compared to 2023.

A few weeks before each Grand Prix, Pirelli communicates to the teams the types of tire compounds that will be provided. Indeed, on a range of 5 different hardness levels, from very hard tires C1 to very soft tires C5.
No change for the United States Grand Prix compared to last season. Pirelli, the exclusive tire supplier in Formula 1, has opted for the C2 compounds as hard tires, C3 as medium tires, and C4 as soft tires.
The different teams will therefore know what to expect for this leg in Austin, which will take place from October 18th to 20th. It will mark the beginning of a series of three Grand Prix races in American territory, with the Mexican Grand Prix (October 25-27) followed by the Brazilian Grand Prix (November 1-3) without offering the drivers any respite.
No more unknowns for teams in Brazil.
Pirelli will offer the same tire selection for Mexico and Brazil: C3 for the hard tires, C4 for the mediums, and C5 for the softs. This is the same compound as in 2023 for the Autodromo Hermanos Rodríguez, unlike the Interlagos track. Indeed, C2 tires were then offered as hard tires, C3 as mediums, and C4 as softs.

None of the teams had used a set of hard tires during the race in Brazil last year, which probably explains the modifications made by Pirelli. In addition to having to adapt to this minor change, the teams will also have to deal with the new features of Interlagos, where the track is being resurfaced. The practice sessions will be crucial to optimize the grip of the different cars during the race.
