Key figures to know before the Mexican Grand Prix
The twentieth round of the Formula 1 championship is taking place this weekend with the Mexican Grand Prix, the 24th in its history in the discipline. Here are all the numbers to remember before enjoying the show that the drivers are about to offer us at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.

1: The Mexican Grand Prix was the first race where Michael Schumacher stood on the podium. It was in 1992, driving his Benetton. The German then went on to achieve 155 podium finishes in his career.
1.2: the number of kilometers to travel in the first straight line of the circuit, the second longest of the season after Baku’s.
2: Charles Leclerc is the only driver to have taken pole position twice at the Mexican Grand Prix since its return to the calendar in 2015, with the best times in qualifying in 2019 and 2023. Nico Rosberg (2015), Lewis Hamilton (2016), Sebastian Vettel (2017), Daniel Ricciardo (2018), Valtteri Bottas (2021), and Max Verstappen (2022) each have one.
1:17.774: the race lap record, held by Valtteri Bottas. The Finn set this time in 2021 with Mercedes. Starting from pole position, he snatched the fastest lap point from Max Verstappen on the final lap after spinning out at the start, being clipped by Daniel Ricciardo.
4.3: the number of kilometers to cover to complete one lap on this circuit. The drivers will complete 71 laps on Sunday during the race, for a total distance of 305,354 km.
5: the record number of wins on this track. It belongs to Max Verstappen, winner in 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022, and 2023. He is ahead of Jim Clark, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, and Lewis Hamilton (two wins). The Dutchman will hope to increase the gap on the competition as he has not won this season since the Spanish Grand Prix and is therefore on a streak of nine winless races.
