Why won’t Sarah Bovy be racing in the WEC with the Iron Dames?
The Belgian driver is not part of the trio announced by the Iron Dames in the Endurance World Championship. She explains.
This is a small surprise. The iconic Sarah Bovy will not be present on the grid for the next season of the World Endurance Championship. Iron Dames revealed their trio this Thursday, November 21. We find Célia Martin, Michelle Gatting, and Rahel Frey.
An astonishing decision considering that Sarah Bovy has offered several pole positions and a victory to the team led by Deborah Mayer. If she is not committed to the World Endurance Championship, the Belgian, now a silver-rated driver, will still have a quite busy racing schedule.
Gain experience
« Many people thought I was going to do WEC again in 2025. But there was never any question of me continuing as a Silver. For me, it is normal to start gaining experience as a Silver and I am very lucky that the team trusts me for other programs. The Asian Le Mans Series will start at the beginning of December in Sepang. And other plans will be revealed in due time, she announced to our colleagues from the DH motors.
