Times Square in New York transformed into a true temple of speed and cinema for the highly anticipated world premiere of F1 The Movie. This prestigious event brought together the biggest figures in Formula 1, alongside Hollywood stars, in an electric and festive atmosphere.

Prestigious guests

Several drivers, including Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris, and Charles Leclerc, made a notable appearance at Times Square, where they were joined by film stars Brad Pitt, Damson Idris, and Javier Bardem before the screening.

The F1 drivers had already been treated to a private screening of the film before the Monaco Grand Prix last month, with seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton having actively participated in the project as a consultant and producer.

In addition to the drivers, a car representing each of the 10 teams was lined up like a starting grid along the red carpet. Several team principals were also present, including Christian Horner (Red Bull) and Fred Vasseur (Ferrari).

Former F1 drivers also made the trip, including 1997 world champion Jacques Villeneuve and Jean Alesi, alongside F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali.

A realistic tribute to F1

F1 The Movie aims to capture the intensity, stakes, and emotions of the sport, with a spectacular immersion made possible through scenes shot during real Grand Prix weekends, notably at Silverstone, Spa, and Las Vegas.

The production was made possible thanks to a partnership with FOM (Formula One Management), and the film promises a level of realism rarely seen in this genre, with on-board shots directly on the circuits.

This premiere in New York was not just a film launch: it was a global event, designed to bring F1 and cinema fans closer together, enhance the Formula 1 brand to a wider audience, and demonstrate how much the sport is in cultural expansion.
