Théo Pourchaire will drive a single-seater Formula 1 car for the first time. While teams have been taking turns since the beginning of the season to test Pirelli’s 18-inch tires for 2022, it is now Alfa Romeo’s turn to hit the track.

On this occasion, the French driver will do his first laps in a Formula 1 car aboard an Alfa Romeo on the Hungarian circuit. Tipped for a place in the Italian team next year, the Sauber driver will be delighted to drive this car during the private tests. He was chosen by Frédéric Vasseur and will be at the wheel of the C38 today and tomorrow.

These trials are scheduled for Tuesday, August 3 and Wednesday, August 4, 2021.

Russell testing with Mercedes this Tuesday

And the F2 driver will not be alone. George Russell will climb aboard the Mercedes-AMG W12 to also test these famous tires. The British hopeful returns from a magnificent weekend by picking up his first points in F1 with Williams.
