Saturday: Sauber remains unsatisfied in qualifying

« Obviously, I am disappointed with the result of today’s qualifying. In Q1, my lap time with the hard tires was OK, then in Q2, the stint with the softest compound was not good. Generally, we make a few changes after Friday’s practice. It was quite difficult to define the settings due to the changing weather conditions. Some modifications went in the right direction, others did not. […] It won’t be easy for us in the race, but I still hope to score some points tomorrow.

« I went out to do my first stint right at the start of Q1 because I wanted to check different settings. But in the middle of the back straight, the engine suddenly stopped. It’s a problem with the fuel system. I was hoping to make it back to the garage but I stopped before the pit lane entrance. In any case, I wouldn’t have gone any further even if I had managed to reach my garage because it takes time to fix. I have to get over it, it was a stroke of fate for me and I want to have a good race tomorrow.
