Sunday: First Red Bull one-two in 2011
After securing the front row in qualifying, the Red Bull team completed the circle with a perfect weekend, achieving a one-two finish in the race and the fastest lap credited to Mark Webber. As usual, Vettel built up a sufficient lead during his first stint, allowing him to manage his race, while his teammate had to fight hard to finish 2nd.

Sebastian Vettel – 1st
« It’s a great result today, especially after putting so much work on the team on Friday. I hope the victory will help them forget about it. Saturday morning’s tests were crucial. When I was walking through the garage, everyone gave me the impression that everything was fine and there was no need to worry. […] The team is close to me and if they are not happy or demotivated, it impacts me and everything else, so after Friday, it lifted my spirits. Regarding the race, we had a good first stint and widened the gap, which is always an advantage. In the end, I did two short stints, which turned out to be the right thing to do. We don’t know what might happen next, so we take it race by race. There will be days when we get beaten, but we need to minimize the damage, but for today, it’s a great result for the team. »
Mark Webber – 2nd
« It’s good to be second and a relief to finish there rather than third. At the end of the race, there was a good battle with Fernando, you lose a bit of time when it’s like that, but it went well, and I was able to pass him again. […] It was a great victory for Sebastian, and Fernando also drove well: it’s a fantastic result for the team with this one-two finish. The grip wasn’t very good at the start, but I leave Istanbul happy: it’s my best result of the year so far. »
Cyril Dumont, engine manager
« It’s really great to confirm yesterday’s results, and it’s fantastic to achieve the double for the first time this year. So, congratulations to everyone. For Sebastian, it was quite a calm race, very solid in terms of performance, and for Mark, it was really solid in terms of overtaking. It was nice to see. »
