Sunday: New Disillusionment for Williams
After reaching Q3 for the first time this season and showing some improvement during practice, Williams experienced a new disappointment in the race but continues to work on their car to bring it back to the front of the pack.

Pastor Maldonado – 15th
It was a tough race. We didn’t get a great start, which is something we’ll need to work on. Then, we struggled to maintain the pace and, unfortunately, our strategy didn’t help us. But we finished the race, so now we have more data to work with. We need to push hard and focus on improving our race pace for Monaco.
Rubens Barrichello – 17th
« I had a difficult race. Starting on hard tires means the pace isn’t good, but we had the soft tires, so it should have gone better. Unfortunately, we had more problems today. First during the pit stop and then again with the KERS, which cost us a lot of time. It’s another race without points. We need to improve.
Sam Michael – Technical Director
« Although our position at the finish doesn’t reflect it, we are making progress, but it is extremely tight in the middle of the pack. If you make a mistake, you finish 15th instead of 10th.
The main thing for us now is to stay focused and refine the improvements we are bringing to the car. During the upcoming races in particular, we need to make the front and rear wings as well as the diffuser work. Today, we had an issue with the rear jack on both of our cars and we will need to look into that before Monaco.
