Aldo Costa resigns from his position at Ferrari
The Scuderia Ferrari loses its technical director

Aldo Costa has officially resigned from his position as technical director of Scuderia Ferrari, which he had held since November 2007.
The native of Parma made his debut in Formula One as chief engineer at Minardi, starting in 1988 before being promoted to Technical Director of the small team based in Faenza the following year.
He joined Ferrari in 1995 and became Rory Byrne’s assistant in 1998, inheriting the Chief Designer role from him in 2004. Responsible for the F2005, Costa was promoted to the head of the Design and Development team at Maranello in 2006.
The Italian engineer thus takes responsibility for the poor start to the Scuderia’s season and will take on new roles within the company, confirms Ferrari.
This announcement comes just days after the Spanish Grand Prix, where Fernando Alonso was lapped despite leading at the start of the race. It also coincides with a disappointing start to the season for the men from Maranello, who are already 110 points behind Red Bull.
The Italian team confirmed that the technical department would undergo a restructuring, under the authority of Stefano Domenicali, with Pat Fry heading the chassis department. Corrado Lanzone will be in charge of production while Luca Marmorini has been confirmed in his role as head of the engine department.
