Saturday: a Williams in the top 10 once again
For the second consecutive Grand Prix, Pastor Maldonado manages to enter Q3. For Rubens Barrichello, however, it's a disappointment because the Williams seemed to have the means to get there.

Pastor Maldonado – 9th
« I am happy! We were consistent in Q1 and Q2 and I was able to get to Q3. It was very tight at the end with the red flag, we barely had two minutes to do our lap, so I am happy to be ninth in the end. We have been competitive since the beginning of the weekend and we have gotten 100% out of our new package again today. Our pace is good and I will do my best to be in the points tomorrow. I hope Sergio is okay and I wish him the best ».
Rubens Barrichello – 12th
« The car was good, but it seemed faster with worn tires. When I went on track with new tires, I didn’t have the grip I expected. That made the difference today and cost me a few tenths. It’s strange, and we need to understand why. I need a car that sticks to the track as much as possible. Strategies will play an important role tomorrow. We all hope Sergio is doing well ».
Sam Michael
« Obviously, our first thoughts are with Sergio Perez. The whole team wishes him a speedy recovery. Pastor delivered a great performance by making it into the top 10 once again today. Two consecutive races, this shows significant progress. The Monaco circuit requires a well-balanced car, maximum downforce, and a lot of concentration from the drivers. We have work to do, and we will move in that direction ».
