Saturday: the HRT go to the draft
Unlike the Australian Grand Prix, the HRT drivers have been granted permission to race tomorrow by the stewards. Neither Liuzzi nor Karthikeyan took part in the qualifying sessions on the streets of the Principality.

Nairan Kartikeyan – 23rd
« Little disappointment today. It wasn’t certain to let the car out as it was, so we had to make some changes to the suspensions which made it impossible for us to participate in the qualifications. We could have easily qualified, as in the last four races, I have no doubt about that. So, it was a good decision by the stewards to allow us to participate in the race. »
Vitantonio Liuzzi – 24th
« It was a difficult day because this morning I had an accident at turn 1. I was struggling a lot with the car’s balance since Thursday, the rear end was suffering a lot. The FIA showed good sense with the decision they made while we have been under the 107% rule at every race since Australia. It will be a tough race tomorrow due to our balance issues, but in Monaco, you never know what can happen. »
Colin Kolles – Team Principal
« We experienced a difficult day with Tonio’s accident and suspension issues just before qualifying on Nairan’s car. Consequently, we couldn’t get either of our cars on track, so we had to check with the stewards about what would happen tomorrow. Fortunately, they made a good decision, and both our drivers will be on the grid. »
