Penalty without consequences for Hamilton
Kobayashi and Sutil, for their part, were reprimanded for incidents during the race.

Lewis Hamilton was very upset after the race and criticized the stewards, having been summoned by them for the fifth time in six races.
Already penalized with a mandatory pit stop during the race after his collision with Felipe Massa at the Loews hairpin, the Briton was given a 20-second penalty by the panel of stewards, which this weekend included former Toyota driver Alan McNish.
The 2008 World Champion was this time penalized for his collision with Pastor Maldonado at the Sainte-Dévote corner, a penalty that the driver described as a “joke.”
This penalty, however, has no impact on the standings, as the Briton has a comfortable lead over his closest pursuer.
