Saturday: Another pole for Red Bull
The weekends follow one another and are similar for the Austrian team: Vettel secures pole position and Webber is plagued with issues with his KERS.

Sebastian Vettel – 1st
« I am happy. We have made some progress since last year when we implemented a different strategy by sacrificing qualifications, but this year I feel good. I had a difficult start yesterday morning, but fortunately, the guys were able to repair the car and I was able to do some testing in the afternoon. It’s a challenging track, with curbs and chicanes, high speeds followed by heavy braking, but we had a smooth and very good qualifying session. Overall, I am happy. It’s obviously a big step we’ve taken today, but the task will be great tomorrow. Conditions are likely to change, and I am sure we will see some rain – the question is when and how much. We’ll see, but the first place is the best to start tomorrow. »
Mark Webber – 4th
« It was a good afternoon and I am happy with the way we came back. I couldn’t get more out of the car today; I didn’t have SREC, which affected my performance. The guys did everything they could to fix the problem we had this morning and we believed it was fixed, but on the formation lap, it failed again. We tried to recover it for Q3, but it wasn’t possible. A front row would have been good here, but a second row isn’t so bad considering our day. It’s a very long race and it’s likely that a weather change might occur, so the race could be interesting. »
Christian Horner
« It’s fantastic to get our first pole position in Montreal. Another great performance from Sebastian today, who completed two laps that were good enough to put us on pole. The Ferraris have been very fast here, and we expect them to be formidable opponents tomorrow, just like McLaren. Mark made a good comeback, without the support of KERS, which cost him a few tenths. It’s a great performance for him, and he will start from the second row on a track where overtaking is possible.
