Friday: HRT focused on the race
Calm day for HRT, aside from a slight issue with Karthikeyan's car. The Spanish team mainly focused on setup for Sunday.

« It was a difficult day because we struggled with the rear tires and the back of the car. We haven’t found the right balance yet. I think our pace, compared to the leaders, is the same as usual but we still need to improve a lot of things and work a lot tonight to try to solve the problems we have with the car’s balance and continue to get closer to our nearest rivals. »
Narain Karthikeyan – 23rd and 23rd
Obviously, the afternoon was not ideal with the gearbox problem and, unfortunately, because of these issues, we were unable to complete the entire program. I am still in the learning phase on this circuit, it’s a bit of stop-and-go. The track is very slippery and our car seems to be very limited in terms of traction this morning. Because of reliability, it wasn’t a good day for me.

« Fundamentally, we completed our program with a focus on the race, but nothing special regarding the qualifiers; everything was directed towards the race. We had no major issues to report. We had a gearbox problem on Narain’s car that caused us to stop a bit earlier, but otherwise, we were able to follow the program ».
