Sunday: Pérez in the points for Sauber
After experiencing difficult moments following his accident in Monaco, Sergio Pérez had a good race and finished in the points. For Kamui Kobayashi, the race was cut short due to an engine problem.

Sergio Pérez – 7th
« I think it was a good race and a very good result for the team. At the beginning, conditions were quite difficult but we tried to stay out of trouble. The strategy was good and my pit stops were perfect. Unfortunately, I couldn’t overtake Nico Rosberg. I wasn’t far behind but he was too fast on the straights. Despite everything, I am happy and the difficult moments are behind me. After the accident (in Monaco), it took me some time to get back in the rhythm. In two weeks, I’ll be even stronger ».
Kamui Kobayashi – retirement
« It’s really a shame because our overall performance was good this weekend. During the race, I was unlucky. I don’t think I have much to say about the accident I had with Michael. We weren’t side by side and he clearly hit me from behind. From there, I had to drive with a damaged car. Then, I was unlucky with the pit stop, then there was the stop and go, and finally, I had to stop because I was told over the radio that there was an oil leak ».
Peter Sauber, team principal
I’m very happy with Sergio’s seventh place, so congratulations to him. The race was difficult for him, as was following Nico Rosberg. He was faster but was not able to overtake. As for Kamui’s race, the accident with Michael Schumacher was quite annoying. It was an unnecessary collision that cost Kamui dearly.
