Friday: the Virgins lacking rhythm
Busy day for the Russian team with work on aerodynamics this morning. The Virgin team is still searching for pace.

Timo Glock – 21st and 21st
« The morning was dedicated to aerodynamic work, which is always important when we are able to collect a lot of data. This afternoon, we worked on the settings and on a few ideas for tomorrow. The main problem for now is the tires: they are quite difficult to make work this week, so we will need to have a better understanding of their functioning before tomorrow ».
Jérôme D’Ambrosio – 22nd and 22nd
« It’s quite a good Friday today. We conducted some interesting tests this afternoon and it’s a good thing that the expected rain did not come. This morning, we didn’t really work on the setup and, in fact, we focused on collecting aero data, but this afternoon we completed our program and have a lot of data to study tonight. Overall, the day has been good, so let’s see what tomorrow holds for us ».
John Booth, director of Marussia Virgin
« It was a busy day for us. This morning, we completed a series of aerodynamic tests on both cars. Unfortunately, the changes on Jérôme’s car took longer than expected, and he also had a small problem with his steering wheel, but overall, the session was positive. In the afternoon, fortunately, the weather stayed dry, and we were able to continue working on the setup of both cars. At times, the two cars were on different settings, and we will need to carefully analyze the data to decide on our approach for tomorrow. This weekend, the tires are going to play a big role, and this will influence our decisions. Clearly, our pace is not what it was in previous sessions, so we need to try to improve performance tonight ».
