Saturday: Paid work night at Red Bull
By breaking the curfew last night, the Red Bull team managed to get the car back on track, allowing Sebastian Vettel to secure a new position. For Mark Webber, the KERS remains an unresolved issue.

Sebastian Vettel – 1st
« It was a very good session for us. The McLarens were very fast, but we did good things and I felt more comfortable this morning. We changed a lot of things on the car overnight and the guys worked very hard. They didn’t get much sleep, but I think when we get such a result, it’s the best way to say thank you, so I’m very happy. The confidence is back, today I felt better in the car and I’m looking forward to tomorrow ».
Mark Webber – 6th
« The third row is not really what I expected. I didn’t get the best out of the car and the tires. The KERS was working intermittently: I didn’t have it in Q2, I had it on the last lap in Q3, but in the end, I wasn’t fast enough and I couldn’t set a good time. We’ll see tomorrow where we stand ».
Cyril Dumont (Renault)
« A new pole position, it’s great. I want to thank the guys who worked in the garage last night because they worked hard and didn’t get much sleep. Today, we saw that it was worth it. As for Mark, I think he should have been better placed but he had SREC issues. No one doubts that he will be better placed tomorrow ».
