Sutil is not worried about his future
The Force India driver, Adrian Sutil, recently told our colleagues at Autosport that he was not bothered by the fact that his contract was not being renewed quickly by his team.

The German driver claims he is in agreement with his team regarding his uncertain future with them: « We are in the same situation as last year. It’s not a bad thing to wait until the end of the season to talk about the contract »
Events can unfold very quickly in Formula 1, and Sutil is aware of this: « We are still in the middle of the season, and I don’t want to comment on transfers. Things move very fast in Formula 1; one day you’re a hero and with the slightest mistake, you fall down! »
This hesitation from his team does not, however, put his commitment in doubt: « I am very happy at Force India. I have been driving for them for a long time now, and the team holds a special place in my heart. It’s a great feeling to see the team heading in the right direction and scoring points. We are doing a lot of work at the moment, and it is far from over. We can only get better. »
The German hopeful maintains good relations with his boss Vijay Mallya, and things seem clear between the two of them: « We have a very open relationship with Vijay Mallya. I can get a bit more information from him than what the press and media can. He is always very honest. I am at ease because I can always ask him what he thinks. He is someone very special. »
In any case, Adrian Sutil believes he has enough experience not to feel pressure at the end of each season: « In this job, you always have your eyes and ears open to hear what you can here and there to assess what is possible. I am a loyal person and I love this team, so it should always be considered as a first option, I will talk to them and see what they think… If they tell me they want another driver, I will know what to do. »
Force India-Mercedes announced that it would make a decision on its drivers around December 15.
