Alonso talks about Formula 1
Fernando Alonso is one of the most respected drivers for his talent and experience in the world of Formula 1. Our German colleagues from the magazine AutoBild interviewed the Spanish driver, presenting him with some key words to which he had to respond as frankly as possible.

Here are the points raised by the Spanish driver:
Ferrari:
«For me, it’s a dream come true to be able to drive for this team with unique tradition and history. If you haven’t driven for Ferrari, your career is not complete.»
The 2011 Championship:
«We have too big a deficit and little realistic chance of winning the championship. So I take the races one at a time without thinking about the title. If I had to bet on a driver, I would bet on Vettel. »
Red Bull
They have interpreted the regulations better than us this year. Adrian Newey is a key figure, but behind him, there is a really strong team.
Sebastian Vettel:
«Sebastian is a great champion who is about to win his second title. He has a lot of talent and a particular ability to withstand pressure. The criticism about him not being a real “competitor,” I don’t understand it!”»
Michael Schumacher:
For me, he will forever remain the best driver in the history of F1. And we obviously have to respect him for that.
Nico Rosberg
He now has enough experience to fight for the title. Sooner or later, he will be champion.
Felipe Massa:
He is definitely one of the best teammates I’ve had. We are very close in performance… usually within a tenth of a second. We work very well together, even though we have rather different driving styles. I attack the corners very aggressively, whereas he is a bit smoother.
Abu Dhabi 2010:
« It’s very frustrating when such an important goal slips through your fingers. We focused all our attention on Mark Webber, somewhat forgetting about Sebastian Vettel. When Mark went into the pits, we followed him, and Sebastian must have had a good laugh. Then we got stuck in traffic, and Sebastian stayed on the track longer with worn tires, and as a result, he won the race… and the title. »
Vitaly Petrov:
« I don’t hold it against him, but his behavior in Abu Dhabi last season wasn’t particularly smart. He fought with a lot of aggressiveness.
A third title:
It’s very important for me. I won’t stop until I am a champion with Ferrari. If by the end of my contract in 2016 I haven’t succeeded, I will do like Michael Schumacher and stay in F1 for about twenty years until 2021!
