Friday: Vettel already puts his Red Bull on top
On a circuit that is not supposed to perfectly suit Red Bull, it is nonetheless the reigning world champion, Sebastian Vettel, who stood out by finishing first in the second free practice session. Mark Webber, on a different program, is slightly behind.

Sebastian Vettel – 3rd and 1st
« It was an interesting day. Traditionally, it’s a circuit that doesn’t suit us, but we were happy with the car today. McLaren seems particularly fast and they will be the men to beat this weekend, but it’s very difficult to judge on a Friday when so many factors come into play. We didn’t have any problems today, so we are satisfied ».
Mark Webber – 4th and 6th
« It was rather good. We had a lot to review in terms of aerodynamic support or speeds because it is quite a challenging track in these respects. Both tire compounds are reacting very well, and we spent most of our time in FP2 working on the option (soft) tires. We adjusted certain things following Pirelli’s guidelines on camber for this race. The car setup can be interesting here, as it is a compromise between grip for cornering and speed for the straights. Seb and I were on different programs today, so we’ll pool our information tonight ».
