The testing schedule for the 2012 season
The teams have managed to reach an agreement on the dates for the testing sessions for the 2012 season. As reported by various media outlets in recent weeks, there will only be three pre-season testing sessions and one in-season session, specifically before the start of the European season.

The teams have definitively accepted the test dates for the 2012 season, as revealed by the British magazine Autosport. Three test sessions will take place before the start of the season in Melbourne on March 18. The first session will be held in Jerez, Spain, from February 7 to 10. This will be followed by two more sessions in Barcelona from February 21 to 24 and from March 1 to 4.
And after the desire of some leaders to reintroduce test sessions during the season for 2012, the last session will take place between the Bahrain Grand Prix (April 22) and the Spanish Grand Prix (May 13). This session will be held in Italy, on the Mugello circuit from May 1 to 3. This session will therefore provide teams with the opportunity to test the effectiveness of their new parts before the start of the European season.
This new organization should allow teams, which have been lagging behind in the first four races of the season, to test a maximum number of new parts in order to validate them for the rest of the season.
