Friday: the night is going to be long at Lotus Renault GP
After being hampered by overheating in the first practice session, Vitaly Petrov will have his work cut out for him tomorrow during the final free practice session. For Bruno Senna, the "night" is going to be long.

It was something to experience driving at night here; it was really very special. It was quite a productive afternoon for us. We made a step forward in terms of balance during the sessions, but there’s still work to be done to get the car ready for the race. We have a long night ahead of us to decide what we’re going to do. I managed to cover a good number of laps and there were no incidents or damage to the car. We did everything to stay out of any trouble, and that was the main goal of the day. We need to work hard before tomorrow’s FP3 to understand what we can do to improve our pace and consistency.

« Unfortunately, we lost the first session because the engine was overheating a bit, so we had to revert to an earlier setup in terms of the bodywork. My mechanics did a fantastic job preparing my car for the second practice session – a big thank you to them. It’s difficult to make up for lost time in the second session when you’ve missed a lot during FP1, but we know what we need to do for tomorrow, and we know which direction to go to bring the car up this weekend ».
