Rosberg wants to have Schumacher as a teammate after 2012
Nico Rosberg expressed to the German press his desire to see Michael Schumacher continue alongside him within the Mercedes GP team, as it could be beneficial for the team according to him.

Nico Rosberg will be a Mercedes GP driver until next year, but he does not yet know for whom he will be driving in 2013, even though he seems well on track to extend with Mercedes. Michael Schumacher is in the same situation, with his contract ending in late 2012, and the seven-time world champion does not yet know if he will continue with the German team in 2013 and beyond. But Keke Rosberg’s son would like to see his illustrious elder continue alongside him from 2013, as he believes this could be beneficial for the team.
«Yes, clearly (I’d like him to stay). But it’s up to him to decide if he’s still having as much fun, but for the team, it would be a good thing,» Nico Rosberg told the German press agency SID.
While many people in the F1 paddock thought Nico Rosberg would be completely outpaced by Michael Schumacher when the latter announced his comeback, this ultimately was not the case, and Rosberg has regularly outperformed Schumacher since the beginning of their collaboration at the start of last season. The young German also admitted that he has learned a lot from his seven-time world champion teammate and that’s probably why he would like to see him continue in Formula 1 for a few more years.
