Massa’s karting event attracts drivers
Every year since 2005, Felipe Massa organizes the 'Challenge of the Stars', a karting competition that generally brings together racing drivers, whether still active or not.

Felipe Massa has been organizing a karting race every year since 2005 to raise funds for charity. And this year, the Brazilian driver will race against six other Formula 1 drivers: Rubens Barrichello, Pastor Maldonado, Bruno Senna, Vitantonio Liuzzi, Jaime Alguersuari, and Adrian Sutil.
These seven F1 drivers will be joined by other competitors, former F1 drivers or perhaps future F1 drivers: Jules Bianchi – current Ferrari third driver, Lucas di Grassi – former Virgin driver, and Luciano Burti – former Jaguar driver.
The Challenge of the Stars will take place this year on December 3 and 4 at the Florianopolis track in Brazil. It will be an opportunity for Lucas di Grassi to defend his title—the Brazilian had followed in the footsteps of Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello, Felipe Massa, and Daniel Serra in the winners’ list. A unique feature of the event, as you can see in the image, is that the karts of the various competitors are equipped with a bodywork.
