Karthikeyan will drive during the tests at Suzuka
Narain Karthikeyan, who was replaced in the HRT team by Daniel Ricciardo, will take the wheel of Vitantonio Liuzzi's Hispania F111 during the first free practice session of the Japanese Grand Prix next Friday.

For his return to Formula 1 after a five-year absence, Narain Karthikeyan participated in seven races this season with the Spanish team HRT—he was not allowed to take part in the Australian Grand Prix because he was beyond the 107% time during the qualifying session. The Indian driver then gave up his seat to Daniel Ricciardo starting from Silverstone, but he is expected to regain his position at least for the Indian Grand Prix. To prepare for this race, he will be running this weekend at Suzuka during the first free practice session.
Karthikeyan already participated in the first free practice session in Singapore last weekend to regain the feel of a Formula 1 car. The same will happen at Suzuka, where he will take the wheel of Vitantonio Liuzzi’s car to continue preparing for his return at the Indian Grand Prix on October 30th.
