During the Singapore Grand Prix, the Sauber team saw Force India pull ahead in the constructors’ championship, but the Swiss team does not intend to give up in its fight for sixth place in the championship. And thanks to a set of aerodynamic updates, James Key, Sauber’s technical director, hopes to bring a performance boost to the Sauber C30s of Kamui Kobayashi and Sergio Perez.

« We are going to bring a lot of aerodynamic innovations to the single-seater, including a brand new front wing, a new rear wing, new deflectors, new brake ducts, and some modifications to the floor. These innovations were always planned to be introduced at Suzuka, and if everything works correctly, it should allow us to make a leap forward, » said James Key.

All these novelties will need to be evaluated during the free practice sessions in Suzuka, which promises a lot of work for both team drivers. However, according to James Key, the team must bounce back after several setbacks but he remains confident for the end of the season as the circuits should suit the Swiss car.

«Obviously, we want to bounce back after our recent misfortune. In the last quarter of the season, the circuits should suit us better. It would be nice to achieve a good result in Japan for all our fans in what has been a difficult year for them, » added Key.
