Ferrari will be “aggressive” in 2012 according to Marc Gene

The 2011 season of Scuderia Ferrari is more than disappointing. Only one victory by Fernando Alonso in Great Britain and no chance of winning the driver and constructor titles this year.

Ferrari must therefore react as early as 2012, and Spanish test driver Marc Gene expects the team to have a more aggressive approach in the design of next season’s car: «I think there will be changes next year. The technical team knows the direction it must take for us to be the leaders on track again. This means being more aggressive and creative in the car’s design.

The prancing horse team must do better next season, and everyone is evidently aware of it according to Gene: «The goal is to be competitive from the start of the season. The problem with Ferrari is that everyone expects us to win. »

The Spaniard also believes that his compatriot, Fernando Alonso, is the right man to finally bring a title back to Maranello: «What is certain is that Sebastian Vettel had a perfect season with the best car. I heard comments from Fernando and Lewis Hamilton after the Singapore Grand Prix saying that Vettel drove at a very high level that weekend. But for me, Fernando is still the number one. He is the most complete driver.»

A beautiful tribute from Marc Gene to Fernando Alonso and Ferrari, who have not won a driver’s title since the 2007 season and Kimi Räikkönen’s championship.
