Bortolotti will test the Williams in Abu Dhabi
Mirko Bortolotti will have the opportunity to test the Williams team's single-seater during the young drivers' tests in Abu Dhabi at the end of the season, thanks to his Formula 2 championship title won this weekend in Monza.

The Italian driver, a former member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, won the title in the Formula 2 championship this season. In addition to the title, he also earns the right to participate in the young driver tests in Abu Dhabi with the Williams F1 team. He succeeded Andy Soucek and Dean Stoneman on the roll of honor.
I don’t know what will happen for 2012, we will see. But first of all, I have to focus on this test with Williams F1, and also on the next F2 race in Barcelona. I managed to win this award, so I will try to prepare myself as best as possible. I was fortunate in the past to be able to drive a Formula 1 car, so maybe that will help me, but everything has changed this year, so it will be interesting to learn the new specifics of F1, and I will give my best and enjoy my day, Mirko Bortolotti shared.
Sir Frank Williams, the director of the eponymous team, stated that he is eager to test the young Italian driver. He is also convinced that he will quickly adapt to his new car.
« Mirko Bortolotti is another very good F2 champion. We have obviously followed his results throughout the season, and we have seen some excellent performances from him, including finishing in the points at every meeting and securing five victories. We are certain that Mirko will learn a lot during the test day he will spend with us at the end of the year in Abu Dhabi, and we look forward to seeing what he will be able to do at the wheel of an F1 car, » said Sir Frank Williams.
