Sunday: Ricciardo and Liuzzi reach the finish!
A solid race by both drivers allowed the HRT team to reach the finish without problems with its two cars. Satisfaction matching the team's potential on the Yeongam circuit.
Daniel Ricciardo – 19th
We had a good race, it’s nice to finish the weekend considering what we had at the start. We had a good pace throughout the race and a nice battle with the Virgin team. This is the second consecutive race where we are more competitive in fighting with them, and we are very happy about that.
I am a bit disappointed because of the safety car, as I was attacking Glock, who was very aggressive, which allowed D’Ambrosio to pass me. I had to attack hard to get ahead of him again, but at least we positioned ourselves between the two Virgins, which is already good. Next time we will attack even more to be ahead of them.
Vitantonio Liuzzi – 21st
«We had a very good start, we passed a few cars thanks to a collision in turn 3 in front of us, as there were pieces of carbon on the track.
Then, I touched something with my front wing and after that, I locked up my wheels and made contact with a Virgin on the fourth lap. After that, I was forced to stop, which ruined my race.
We had a pretty good pace during the first stint, but the safety car came out at the worst possible moment, as all the frontrunners had already lapped me, I ended up a lap down compared to my main rivals. The race was very tough after that. But with all these problems we endured, we still saw the checkered flag, which is a positive thing.

Overall, today, I am quite satisfied with how the race went for us. We only had yesterday morning to adjust the cars, especially Daniel’s, due to engine problems.
Tire management was the key to the race, and the team did a good job. Daniel was faster than D’Ambrosio and even Glock at certain moments. He fought them and finished in an encouraging position. He did a very good job.
It’s a shame that Tonio had to return to the pits earlier than planned following the incident on the first lap. Then, the safety car pushed him even further back. Otherwise, I think he could have finished in a better position. We were fast and had our best race since the beginning of the season. We must continue down this path.
