Friday: Force India wants to shine at home
Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta showed today that the VJM03 was competitive, with both Force India drivers seemingly able to fight for a place in Q3 tomorrow in the qualifying session to prepare well for their home race. The goal of the Indian team is to perform well for this first F1 race on Indian soil, and a good result would be the cherry on the cake for Vijay Mallya and the entire Sahara Force India team.

Adrian Sutil – 8th and 7th
We had two good practice sessions today. We tested an aerodynamic update on the car this morning and I could feel the difference in terms of stability, so I think we’ll use it for the race on Sunday. The track is fun and really well designed. There are several corners that are a real challenge and there seem to be plenty of overtaking opportunities. So we should have an exciting race on Sunday.
Paul di Resta – 11th and 9th
It was a new experience for everyone today and we had a lot to do. The track is really interesting and the grip seems to be improving. It won’t be an easy race with two DRS zones because there should be a lot of overtaking, but following our work today, we are where we wanted to be in terms of settings. I still need to find a bit of speed, but once we’ve studied the data, I’m sure I can do better tomorrow.
