Friday: Vettel and Webber Impressed by the Buddh International Circuit
The Red Bull drivers were competitive today for the first day of testing at the Indian Grand Prix - even if they remained behind their competitors. Sebastian Vettel appreciates this new track even though there is only one racing line, and Mark Webber revealed that he really enjoyed this new circuit. Both men hope to fight for victory on Sunday, but they will first need to qualify well tomorrow.

Sebastian Vettel – 2nd and 2nd
« It’s an interesting circuit, which is a real challenge. It was very dusty at the beginning, but the layout seems fun, especially the very wide entries that allow multiple trajectories for the drivers. We should have a great race on Sunday. It’s dusty off the racing line, which makes things tricky, so we’ll have to be careful to stay on the line. I think it’s a circuit where there should be overtaking opportunities, especially with the long straights and the different possible trajectories in the entry of some corners. Our long run seemed good today, so we’ll see what happens tomorrow. »
Mark Webber – 3rd and 5th
« It’s a good circuit with interesting corners for an F1, there are fast left-rights and you can take most of the corners in 5th gear. Turn 3 is really unique; it’s very slow, but it’s uphill and quite severe. Turn 4 is not immediate, so they are both quite interesting, and I like both fast chicanes – they are fun. Even though the track is wide, it’s very dirty off line, so most drivers will stay on the racing line. Everything went well this morning; this afternoon a bit less, so we will have to bounce back tomorrow. »
