Friday: Sauber seems competitive in Abu Dhabi
The Sauber team saw its two drivers have slightly different days today. Kamui Kobayashi had a problem with his car during the first free practice session, which forced him to stay in the garage for almost an hour without being able to drive, but the Japanese driver is still satisfied with his car. Sergio Perez seemed confident for the rest of the weekend on his side, with the Mexican driver hoping to finish in the top 10 on Sunday during the race. However, tomorrow he will first work on his car's setup in preparation for the qualifying session and the race.

Kamui Kobayashi – 17th and 10th
It’s quite difficult to compare the two practice sessions, as the temperature difference was more than 10 degrees Celsius. This also means that tomorrow during the third session, we won’t be able to learn much for the qualifying session because we’ll have a temperature difference once again. But in any case, I found the track to be very slippery. We’re pretty good at high speed, but we need to improve in slow corners and in terms of braking stability.
Sergio Perez – 16th and 11th
I’m confident for this weekend. We had a good day and were able to follow the planned testing program. Nevertheless, it’s hard to know where we stand because we don’t know what the others did today. We’ve learned a lot and will continue working on our performance for tomorrow’s qualifications. We will also try to improve the car’s balance on long runs.
