Saturday: Di Resta and Force India aim for points in Abu Dhabi
Great qualifying session for the Sahara Force India team; both drivers managed to qualify for Q3, which was the goal. Adrian Sutil will start from 9th place on the grid, just ahead of Paul di Resta. The objective for both men will be to score points in tomorrow's race to continue securing the 6th place in the Constructors' Championship.

Adrian Sutil – 8th and 9th
I’m happy with my ninth place today, and it was a good session for me. In Q3, we waited a bit longer than expected because we wanted to see what Mercedes was going to do. In the end, they decided to go out, so we went out too, and I was able to do a timed lap. The lap was somewhat compromised because I couldn’t fully get the tires up to temperature, so maybe I could have been a bit better placed. But anyway, I don’t think we have anything to complain about because being 9th accurately reflects our current performance level.
Paul di Resta – 9th and 10th
Placing both cars in the top 10 was the goal today, and we succeeded. We made progress this morning by perfecting our setup, and I was happy with the car during qualifying. Q1 and Q2 went well, and we did the job by being in the top 10. Our approach for Q3 was to have the optimal strategy for tomorrow. For the race, we are clearly aiming for points because our objective is to maintain our 6th place in the championship. I’m really looking forward to this race because the circuit looks very spectacular at night. And it’s also interesting to drive at dusk when it’s a bit cooler.
Vijay Mallya – Owner of the Sahara Force India team
I’m delighted with our performance, and both Sahara Force India cars will start from the 5th row on the grid, so we look good for tomorrow. We should have an interesting race because tire wear is not too significant here, which means we need to carefully think about the strategy. With only two races to go, we do not underestimate the importance of scoring points here to strengthen our hold on the 6th place in the Constructors’ Championship. I believe we have the speed for it, but as I said before, nothing is done until it’s achieved.
