Räikkönen would like shares in Williams
The Räikkönen rumor is growing day by day, but to date, nothing has been signed between the Finnish driver and the Williams team. However, it seems that the negotiations go beyond the simple dealings between a driver and a team.

To this end, negotiations between Kimi Räikkönen’s representatives and the Williams team are dragging on.
The British journalist Joe Saward seems to suggest that Kimi Räikkönen and his managers, the Robertson brothers, are interested in acquiring shares in the Williams team. These are not negotiations as straightforward as the usual ones between a driver and a team. I heard that Räikkönen was also looking to acquire some shares in the team, states the journalist on his website.
However, according to Saward, some reluctance from Frank Williams himself is felt: Sir Frank Williams is famous for not parting with his shares. The team lost Adrian Newey in the mid-1990s because he did not want to make him a shareholder, and the recent IPO of the team was simply a mechanism to raise funds to allow Williams and his long-time partner, Patrick Head, to extract some value from the team without losing control of the business.
Räikkönen’s managers, David and Steve Robertson, were guests of the Williams team in Abu Dhabi, which suggests that exchanges are still ongoing between the two parties.
