Massa: Barrichello should stop F1
Rubens Barrichello is not certain about keeping his place at Williams next season, so the Brazilian driver is trying to find a solution to continue racing in F1 in 2012. However, Felipe Massa thinks that his compatriot should end his career rather than start becoming a pay driver after 19 seasons in Formula 1.

Rubens Barrichello’s seat at Williams is in danger, especially following rumors about Kimi Räikkönen joining the British team. The Brazilian veteran has not let himself be discouraged and is trying to rally Brazilian companies around him to continue his F1 career and reach the milestone of 20 seasons.
But for the moment nothing says that it will work, it should however be quickly decided as it is this week that Williams will announce its two drivers for 2012. But his compatriot, Felipe Massa, thinks that Barrichello should already announce his retirement from the world of F1.
«The advice I would give him is to stop. Rubens had an incredible career in Formula 1 in my opinion, racing for the best teams and winning races. Many drivers would have loved to have his career, » Massa confided, quoted by Globo Esporte.
The Ferrari driver also believes that Barrichello is making a mistake by becoming a pay driver, especially since there’s no guarantee that this strategy will work.
What I would advise him is to stop motorsport, because of his team and everything that is happening in our championship. There are 12 teams and at least six of them ask for money from their drivers. With the career that Rubens has had, I cannot imagine seeing him like this, needing to pay to race in F1, added Massa.
