Friday: Schumacher and Rosberg want to take advantage of the rain to surprise
Despite a good day of testing today, the Mercedes GP drivers are unsure of what to expect tomorrow for the qualifiers as rain is expected to be present. Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg know that this could create surprises, and they hope to be able to make the most of it in such conditions.

Michael Schumacher – 7th and 5th
We had a pretty good day here at Interlagos and we were able to work according to our testing schedule, even though the track was quite slippery. Lap times are often very tight here so we’ll see what we can do tomorrow during the qualifying session. Rain is expected for the rest of the weekend, so maybe we’ll have some surprises at the end of the season.
Nico Rosberg – 10th and 8th
The conditions were quite difficult today because the track was slippery. But our times seemed good and not too far off from the best. We learned a lot with both high and low fuel loads during the two sessions. Rain is expected, so it’s difficult to make a forecast for tomorrow. Maybe if it rains, it will be easier to surprise the top teams.
