Snowmobile accident without severity for Räikkönen
Kimi Räikkönen participated in a snowmobile race in Austria yesterday and the Finnish driver fell, but fortunately without getting hurt too badly.

Kimi Räikkönen had a snowmobile accident yesterday in Austria, the Finnish driver fell in a turn but fortunately without serious injury. This must have revived the specter of Robert Kubica’s accident within the Lotus Renault team, even though Iceman’s accident was less severe.
Räikkönen was participating in a snowmobile race in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Austria, with several other F1 drivers when he crashed. According to the team, he is fine and only has mild pain in one wrist. Therefore, there is no need to worry about his participation in the 2012 Formula 1 season.
« We just spoke to Kimi. There’s nothing to worry about, he simply has a sore wrist. He might want to get it checked on Monday, but that’s all, » clarified the Lotus Renault team on their Twitter feed.
The LRGP team might try to temper Räikkönen’s enthusiasm after this episode, but there’s little chance the Finn will listen to them as he generally loves sports and competition.
