Sutil, Rosberg, Hülkenberg, and Kubica on Ferrari’s radar
The president of Ferrari, Luca di Montezemolo, recently admitted in an interview with the German magazine Bild that he had an eye on a pair of young German drivers to potentially replace Felipe Massa after 2012.

The situation of Massa, 2008 vice world champion, at Ferrari is very clear. The year 2012 will be a real test for the Brazilian. Ferrari will evaluate his results in the upcoming season and decide whether they wish to continue the venture with him.
This does not prevent Lucas di Montezemolo, the flamboyant director of the Scuderia, from looking at what is happening elsewhere in the transfer market: « It is clear that we are considering the future. I like Rosberg, he’s a clear-headed man who keeps improving… but there are also two other very talented young German drivers. »
Montezemolo is surely referring to Adrian Sutil, released from all commitments with Force India, and Nico Hülkenberg, who has recently become a regular driver with the Indian team.
But when asked about the possible arrival of Robert Kubica in 2013 to the team with the prancing horse, the Italian also doesn’t close the door: « There is also a possibility. We will see how he comes back after his accident. »
Even though the pressure is mounting on Felipe Massa, Montezemolo reminds us that Ferrari’s main concern to date is not the drivers: « Our problem is not the drivers. In this area, we have the best. We absolutely need a competitive car. »
