Williams in search of a title sponsor
The Williams team is currently searching for a title sponsor after the end of the contract linking the team to AT&T.

Since 2007, the Williams team was actually called AT&T Williams, with the American telecommunications giant being the title sponsor of the team based in Grove, United Kingdom. But for several days now, the team has been using a new website and a new Facebook page under the name Williams F1 Team, without AT&T.
A spokesperson also confirmed the information today to the news agency Reuters: «I can confirm that the team’s contract with AT&T ended on December 31, 2011, and it will not be renewed for the 2012 season.»
Several F1 observers have announced that the team was in negotiations with the Qatar National Bank to take over, but according to the team spokesperson, Williams is in advanced discussions with another telecommunications company without providing further details.
These negotiations could also impact the choice of the second driver, as for now only Pastor Maldonado has been confirmed. The official announcement of the arrival of a new title sponsor will likely be made in the coming weeks.
