A French Grand Prix in September 2013 at Le Castellet?
The French Grand Prix dossier of Formula 1 is still relevant. Several French newspapers have recently revealed optimistic information.

As Stéphane Clair, director of the Paul Ricard circuit, mentioned in a November interview, a decision regarding the organization of a French Grand Prix at the Castellet circuit would likely be made by the end of the year.
For now, nothing official has been announced yet, but several indications suggest that the case will have a favorable outcome.
The newspaper Var-Matin recently highlighted the fact that the French government was very close to a favorable conclusion on the matter of the Grand Prix de France 2013. Gilles Dufeigneux, the interministerial delegate for major sporting events, believed that things were progressing in a very concrete way.
Today, the newspaper Le Figaro announces that the French Grand Prix dossier is on Prime Minister François Fillon’s desk: he only has to give the go-ahead to Sports Minister David Douillet and Nicolas Deschaux, president of the French Motorsport Federation (FFSA).
The newspaper even announces an event date of September 1, 2013, at the Paul Ricard circuit, which would have a capacity to accommodate 50,000 spectators.
