Ferrari continues its recruitment
The Scuderia continues its offensive in the engineer transfer market: following significant signings from McLaren, Ferrari has just announced the arrival of Steve Clark from Mercedes GP as well as Hirohide Hamashima, the former technical director of Bridgestone.

The official announcement of these new recruitments was made at the annual gathering organized by Marlboro for Ferrari and Ducati. The arrival of Hirohide Hamashima in Maranello is a big step forward for the team as the Japanese expert has extensive experience in tire management, a key performance factor. This could be especially useful for Felipe Massa, who was unable to get his tires up to temperature sufficiently.
The director of Scuderia, Stefano Domenicali, stated: « From January 2, Steve Clark will join us from Mercedes to work as a track engineer while Hiroide Hamashima, who was technical director at Bridgestone, also joins Ferrari. He will lead the new project focused on an in-depth evaluation of a key performance area which is the interaction between the car and its tires. He will also be our technical liaison with Pirelli. Both men will report directly to the technical director, Pat Fry.»
Nevertheless, the Formula One team also experiences a departure with the transfer of Marco Fainello, who joins the teams responsible for the development of the series vehicles of the prancing horse brand. It is now up to the management of the Italian team to find the right chemistry among all these new faces during the winter tests to be ready for the start of the season.
