Toro Rosso: The STR7 Will Be Ready for Jerez
The Toro Rosso team announced that its 2012 car, the STR7, has successfully passed the FIA crash tests. It will therefore be able to make its first laps on February 7th in Jerez for the start of pre-season testing.

The Toro Rosso team announced that its new car, the STR7, has passed the crash tests required by the FIA. It will therefore be able to take part in the first pre-season tests, which will be held in Jerez from February 7 to 10. Indeed, starting this season, cars must pass crash tests in order to be authorized to take part in private testing.
«Who said that crashes were always a bad thing? Having previously passed several static crash tests, today, our new single-seater, the STR7, has passed the remaining FIA crash tests, » states Toro Rosso on its website.
The Italian team did not specify its testing program. It simply explained that it would work on its own program to make the STR7 competitive from the first races.
«We now know that the single-seater is strong enough and from February 7 in Jerez, we can start working to make it fast and reliable, » explains the Faenza team.
