Felipe Massa: “2012 will be the year of victory”
After his terrible accident on the Hungarian circuit in 2009, Felipe Massa is trying to return to his best form as much as he can. He hopes that 2012 will be the year that will help him triumph once again and show that he deserves to be a Ferrari driver.

Felipe Massa has not won a race since the Brazilian Grand Prix in 2008. During that event, he lost the championship by one point to Lewis Hamilton. The 2009 season was the most difficult, as it was marred by an accident that prevented him from continuing in the championship.
Since then, he has struggled in qualifying and races, often overshadowed by Fernando Alonso. By the end of the 2011 season, he finished 6th, 109 points behind Lewis Hamilton (5th) and 139 points behind his teammate.
But the Brazilian does not intend to give up, and he expressed his ambitions right from the presentation of the F2012 in Maranello: 2012 will be the year of victory. I believe in my abilities and the potential of this new car. Everyone wants to see Ferrari win and be on the podium as many times as possible! This car is different, and I can’t wait to show what I’m capable of.
« It’s a new year starting. We will start on equal footing with the other teams in the first race. My motivation is higher than ever to achieve good results and win races. I’ve put a lot of pressure on myself and have really motivated myself to have a good season and start in the best possible way, » he added, very enthusiastic.
Certainly, this Ferrari stands out from the others due to its appearance and the path chosen by the engineers in terms of development. However, it is no less aggressive and competitive: « We still need to get used to this new atypical nose, but apart from this detail, the car is aggressive and very pleasant. I, therefore, hope that it can be competitive throughout the season and that it will allow us to get back to the front of the race. I am convinced that we can have a great championship, » concluded Massa.
