NetApp becomes technical partner of Sauber
NetApp has decided to strengthen its involvement with Sauber, as the Californian company will transition from being a mere IT storage solutions provider to a technical partner, starting from the 2012 season.

The company thus provides the servers and storage centers that the Swiss team transports to the four corners of the globe and that are directly connected with the infrastructure based at the Hinwil headquarters. This means the entire IT infrastructure of Sauber relies on the technology developed by NetApp, which enhances productivity and execution speed.
If the latter has been providing its technology since 2007, it decided, for the 2012 season, to increase its visibility by becoming a technical partner. While this does not yet translate to its logo being on the cars of Kamui Kobayashi and Sergio Perez, it will now be present on the trucks and in the Sauber pits.
