HRT presents its new logo and parts ways with Eeckelaert
The technical director of the HRT team, Jacky Eeckelaert, has left his position with immediate effect.

The Belgian technician, who had been hired to replace Goeff Willis in the Spanish team, did not renew his contract which was ending in January.
A spokesperson for the team confirmed this information to the site GPUpdate.net: « Jacky no longer works for HRT. His contract ended at the end of January, and after all the restructurings the team has undergone in recent months, it was decided not to renew it. »
However, this umpteenth change in the team’s organizational chart does not seem to disrupt the launch of the new season: The single-seater is already in its final stage of crash testing and approval, and everything is supervised by the current chief designer Jean-Claude Martens, who has been working with the team since September. We are in the same situation with our production manager, Dave Campbell, who recently replaced Simon Shinkins.
HRT will be present this week in Jerez with its 2011 car. The team, whose driver duo consists of veterans Pedro de la Rosa and Narain Karthikeyan, is expected to present its new car for the Barcelona tests in early March. According to some reports, the livery (which takes on the colors of the new logo – see opposite) of this new car would be gold and black… somewhat like the Lotus-Renault…
