Mercedes unveils the new W03
She was the most anticipated of the latest single-seaters to be unveiled, and here it is: the Mercedes W03 made its debut in Barcelona just minutes before the second private testing session of the season.

Upon arriving in Barcelona, neither HRT, nor Marussia, nor Mercedes had unveiled their car for the upcoming season. That is now done for the German team, which has thus revealed its new vehicle.
As with all other 2012 single-seaters, the platypus nose is de rigueur, with a step that, while it seems very abrupt at first glance, is actually extremely refined and very curved at its center.
This car will therefore make its debut this week in testing for the first time, after Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher took part in the days at Jerez, but with the 2011 Mercedes. These tests aimed to evaluate the 2012 Pirelli tires and allow drivers to accumulate mileage. A few days ago, Ross Brawn stated that there should be no expectation of a revolution or innovations, but the W03 focused on the pursuit of performance. One point still raises questions among all observers, which is the “automatic F-duct” materialized by a hole at the front of the car’s nose. The first answers are expected over these four days.
