Alguersuari gives unsettling news about Kubica
Jaime Alguersuari revealed this week that he had received some concerning news regarding Robert Kubica's health condition.

For a few months now, news regarding Robert Kubica’s health condition has been quite scarce.
If during the 2011 season, some people close to the Polish driver thought that he could make his return to Formula 1 in 2012, optimism is no longer on the agenda today, to the point that Eric Boullier has decided to no longer wait for a possible recovery of his former main driver, and therefore did not renew his contract which expired last December.
The former Toro Rosso driver, Jaime Alguersuari, adds concrete elements to the prevailing pessimism surrounding the Pole: « I think Robert is, and was, a fantastic driver. Fast and complete. I’m sure he could have been a world champion, without a doubt. But for now, the latest information I have about him is not very good. He can’t even drink using his hand. I mean he can’t grasp a glass with his hand and drink alone… that doesn’t seem very good to me. »
Kubica had suffered severe leg, arm, and hand injuries following a crash during an amateur rally in Italy, just before the start of last season. According to Alguersuari, the Polish driver’s co-pilot, so impressed by his condition after the accident, thought he was dead.
Jaime concluded by saying: « I think his injuries are more serious than expected. But of course, I would like to see him back in Formula 1. He deserves it. »
