« Today, we ran with the new car in mixed conditions, so tomorrow will be like a new start because it seems the conditions will be dry. With a few laps and a new car, we are unable to adjust the car’s balance. But it was important to get some kilometers in and we covered 19 laps which is not too bad, but we still have a long way to go. Regarding the new car, these problems are common, they happen during pre-season testing and this was our test. »
Pedro de la Rosa: unclassified
« We completed our installation lap to check the systems, but we detected a hydraulic problem that forced us to stop. It’s part of the learning process, we arrive here with a new car and being able to go out during the second session was a step, but we would have liked to do more and learn more. The last parts of the car arrived late and thanks to the impressive effort of the whole team, we were able to perform the installation lap and, because of that, we know where the problem is and we will be able to fix it. We will start tomorrow with one less worry, and we’ll certainly have another one, but that’s part of the learning process. We knew this Grand Prix would be difficult so we need to be patient. »
