Visa and BRM team up with Caterham
Caterham has just signed two agreements with high-profile companies as it has established a multi-year partnership with the credit card provider Visa and with the watchmaker BRM.

The agreement made with Visa aims to offer, to the holders of bank cards distributed by the brand, experiences that money cannot buy. Indeed, the two entities have decided to establish a partnership in hospitality since Visa has solid expertise in this area. Some of its clients will therefore be able to benefit from privileged access to the team owned by Tony Fernandes, likely in the very exclusive paddock at the Grand Prix.
This one can only be pleased to have formed a partnership with such a well-known brand: « This is another major milestone for our team as it aligns with one of the most recognized and trusted brands in the world. This gives us an opportunity to create exciting new projects for our fans and Visa’s customers. The growth of our commercial portfolio reflects our on-track development, and attracting a brand as prestigious as Visa is a testament to our growing strength. »
It is nevertheless interesting to note that the official mentioned in the team’s press release is not one of the group’s global high-ranking executives, but rather the head of Malaysia, Stuart Tomlinson. Tony Fernandes’ nationality could therefore have played an important role, and the agreement might not be as global in scope as the team would have you believe, even if it is set to last for several years as announced.
His agreement with the French watchmaker is, for its part, more traditional since the brand will display its logo on the cars of Heikki Kovalainen and Vitaly Petrov. However, its placement is quite limited as it will be on the aerodynamic appendage just in front of the CT01’s radiators of both drivers. It thus ends up below the logo of the Queens Park Rangers, the English football club also owned by Tony Fernandes…
Another realization of this alliance will be the creation of three limited edition watches in the team’s colors. Bernard Richards, the founder of the eponymous manufacture, explains: « Motorsports fans will be thrilled that two legendary names, Caterham F1 Team and BRM Chronographs, are becoming partners in the most prestigious category of motorsports, Formula 1. The first realization of this union will be three limited edition watches produced by BRM Chronographs, featuring the green and yellow colors of the Caterham F1 Team. We look forward to sharing our partnership with the team’s fans and all technology sports enthusiasts as our union develops. »
