Marussia continues its collaboration with Nexa Autocolor

Since its name change at the start of the season, the Marussia team has embarked on a communication campaign around its various sponsors and suppliers. The latest announcement is the extension of its agreement with Nexa Autocolor, which provides the paint used on the team's race cars and transport trucks.

Thus, after announcing the extension of its agreement with CarPlan, whose products enhance and protect the cars of Timo Glock and Charles Pic, today’s agreement concerns the paint itself. Although the team has changed its name three times in three seasons, it has always retained the same paint supplier for all its vehicles.

Andy Webb, the CEO of Marussia F1 Team, stated: «Appearances may not be everything, but looking good is relatively high on Marussia F1 Team’s list of priorities. That’s why when we want a partner to provide us with something as important as the finishing products for our Formula 1 cars and trucks, we want the best. Nexa Autocolor provides high-quality products with incredible performance, allowing us to meet the highest legislative and performance demands with which we have to work.»

It is interesting to note the importance given to appearances for a team that finished its two seasons of existence in last place in the championship. It just goes to show that the habit certainly does not make the monk…
